How should i show my support for him?

My boyfriend was diagnosed with bone cancer in his right femur a few months ago. They started him on Chemo almost immediately because of how bad it was. About two weeks ago they removed the infected bones, muscle, and tissue. Through all this i've tried to be very patient and do what i can for him. However, we haven't really spoken much for some time and i'm not sure what to do. Should i continue to give him space until he figures things out or what? How do i show that i'm here for him without making him angry?
