You are a really good writer but the whole vampire theme is getting old. I'm so tired of seeing vampire books everywhere. Honestly, I think you could do really well writing if you chose a different topic. Sorry; don't mean to get you down. If the whole Twilight and vampire addiction hadn't phased the world, then yes, I would read this and most likely like it (depending on the rest of the book). To me, you should change the topic. If you're writing about vampires, you might like to write fantasy/paranormal romance/etc. Maybe you could use werewolves or fairies or even ghosts. But vampires are boring now. Somethings Wrong With My Poodle?

I have a silver St. Poodle and he sleeps in a huge cage in my bedroom right by my bed. I've been waking up in the middle of the night to find him like, gagging or making some deep, weird noise coming from the pit of his stomach and throwing up. It's kind of scaring me because hes only 1 year old and I don't know whats wrong with him. Before he throws up, when his noises start, he just sits there and gags. I feel bad for him. A few weeks earlier, I was giving him these raw hide bones and he started gagging and throwing up after I gave him those. I thought it was the little pieces he chews off. I stopped giving him those and got him some pig femur bone and he started up again. Ive not given him anything like that for a few weeks, and he still gags and throws up. Last night, I saw the throw up and there was some grass in it. But, in his other throw up, its just chunks. Hes fit and healthy, I would think. He gets proper exercise and food and water.. Can someone tell me whats wrong?

Broken neck off femur?

I broke mine 2 an bit years ago. The repair was 3 screws. The surgeon signed me off 100% happy with the blood flow, the bone etc etc. I explained I had had a slight irritation, and looking again at the latest X Ray he said that one of the screws was slightly high but no worries we can always take it out, My Q is ?, what is the procedure, and how long off work.. crutches again etc.... I've had four sessions of Physio and this pain in and around the buttocks and hip is not going away. I'm seeing my GP monday . Many thanks

Stop sharing your personal information with her. And if you realize that she is using mean words to express her jealousy, and you know that you are none of those things, then ignore them. If she is not the owner of the center, and you both report to a supervisor, you could always report this. But, I think would just tough it out and see how it goes keeping things professional instead of friendly. Now, this doesn't mean for you to ignore her, but try to avoid getting into sharing those personal things. And in all honesty, it's good for you to learn to do this now, because I guarantee that throughout your working life, you are going to run into many who gossip, say mean things, lazy, etc, etc, etc. You have to learn to give yourself criticism first about how you are handling yourself on the job, and once you have done that and maybe adjusted any annoying behaviors, then ignore the bs. Unforunately, your grandmother is not in a good position. Are you absolutely certain that her Mexican insurance will not cover any of her expenses? Some nations do cover their citizens abroad...that's why I ask. However, as someone else noted, she will not be eligible for any type of government/public assistance in the U.S. The hospital may be willing to work out an extended payment arrangement but the hospital bill will be a whopper and you'll also have the doctor's fees, etc to worry about. Most people forget that when you go into the hospital, you don't get only 1 bill. You'll get a bill from the hospital, bills from the lab, bills from the radiologist, the anesthesiologist, the surgeon, etc, etc. It could certainly end up being far more than $15k depending on what all needs to be done and you can bet that those medical providers will go after their money one way or another. I wouldn't even put it past them to start asking for deposits before providing any further care if she's stable and her life is not immediately at risk...it happens.

Thickened Nuchal Fold 21 week II Ultrasound- short femur length too?

We went in for our 21 week ultrasound and our little guy would not hold still the whole time. The tech didn't see the 4 chambers of the heart (we will have an ultrasound at the high risk office on Monday)- and she noted that he had shortened femurs and a thickened nuchal fold (7.4mm). Everything I've read says measuring the Nuchal fold past 14 weeks is not a reliable indicator for down syndrome, and since my husband is thick necked and short (I am short too), it could just be our genetics, right? I am 21 and we have a 1 year old child with no genetic issues. I sent for the triple screening (genetic test) but I refuse to do an amnio because we would keep him either way.. Does anyone know what the odds are with these results? I don't want to think he for sure doesn't have DS, but I also don't want to sit on the fence for the rest of this pregnancy. Our ultrasound tech was also kind of absent minded and having a lot of trouble, could measurements be effected by her?

The last night that i lived there i had put my daughter to bed, both of my parents where laying down in bed. and i got on their computer(my bf let me use his internet port cuz my parents didnt have internet wayy out where we lived) and was talking to some friends and doing school work. no big deal right? well my dad came out of his room to go outside for a smoke and saw me and said "hey, what are u doing on the computer?" (ever since i can remember our first computer hes always hated seeing me on it, i recall beeing in the 6th grade and asking to use it for a research paper and he got so mad that he picked up the monitor and threw it in my bedroom. now..back to what i was saying..he asked what i was doing and i said "school work, my bf lent me his internet port so i could do it" and he said "uh no u can do your work in your bedroom, i know you, you get distrated easily" and i said "im not dad, im just doin my school work and then ill get off, i'll only be another 15-20mins max and ill be done" and he said "well why cant you do it in your room?" and i said "its easier to do it this way, its faster" and he said "well i dont want you on MY computer, get off" and i said "i dont see what the problem is, everyones in bed and im doing school work, whats wrong with that?" and he said "idc i dont want you on it. GET OFF" and so i shut my book and tossed it up on the counter, and he easily assumed that i was throwing it even though he was standing 5 feet away and watched me. and said "dont cop an attitude with me" and i said "i just dont see what the big deal is" and at that point my mother came out and said "wth is going on?" then told us both to stop it, i pushed the computer chair back over to the desk (not hard i just put my hand on the back of it, pushed it and it BARELY tapped the desk, my dad looked at me and said "OH YOU WANNA SLAM SH**? LETS GO SLAM SH**!" and walked into my bedroom and tipped over my entertainment stand. and it broke alot of my things. at that point i cried and called my bf to pick me up (my mom offered to watch my daughter) and to get the hell out. and that was about 3 or 4 months ago. i havent talked to my dad since then...is it wrong to not talk to him even though hes a sadist *******? sometimes i feel bad but sometimes ill think of that night and they WAY he said things with such a snarky attitude, you could easily tell he wanted to start sh**. so......am i wrong? was he wrong?.....what should i do?(oh and just to be clear my mother is watching my daughter and i take her everyother weekend (her dad gets her on the other weekends) until me and my bf get a place next month)

I'm disabled and now my fiance is about to lose a leg to cancer...I don't know if I can go through with this..?

My world has been turned upside down this past week as my fiance got word that his cancer has spread up his leg and bone at the top of his femur is dead and he's going to have to have his leg amputated from the hip down, and quite frankly I'm freaking out. I love my fiance more than anything in this world but I'm freaking out because I've been disabled since a car wreck left me paralyzed from the waist down in high school and now I'm having a really hard time imagining how we will be able to take care of each other since both of us will need help getting around and we'll both be using wheelchairs and neither of us will be able to do a lot of things for each other. im fourteen and i got the plate out of my femur and i just got the stitches out yesterday but there is a small white string coming out of the middle of the incision and i pulled on it and it didnt hurt but it pulled the skin up and didnt seem to come out, is it just disolvable and hasnt gone yet or is it something to worry about?

Pain where body meets leg?

So all of last summer, I noticed that sometimes the area where my body meets my leg...my left leg..right around that big bone ( cant think of the name right now. Is it the femur??) really hurt. I would be sitting and all of the sudden it was like I had a terrible pinched nerve. Once, I was on the back of my dad's motorcycle and suddenly that area just started throbbing. I tried to stretch my leg but couldnt. I ended up having to get off for a second. Then, one night after a sleepover, I came home and that area just killed me so bad. It hurt to walk so I walked very awkwardly. For about 4 days, I had to gimp around. Heating pads and ice packs did not work. Then suddenly it went away. It happened on and off rarely since then. Now, the other day I was on my horse and suddenly I felt that feeling again. I tried to stretch it around and it would fade and then come back whenever I moved my leg. This morning I woke up and that area is sore. What could it be? I used to have the abilty to move my leg around in it's socket so maybe that has something to do with it? I am 15 and generally very healthy.

Mom's confused! Help?

My mother is 60 years old. She has a laundry list of things wrong with her. She is depressed, has COPD, CHF and ESRD. She is also insulin dependent diabetic. One month ago, she broke her femur. While she was in the hospital they had her on morphine, and my mother was having hallucinations and confusion. They took her off all of the narcotics she was on, and they claimed she was fine. (I still saw a bit of confusion there, but the doctor dismissed it). She was released to a SNF for rehab and developed pneumonia a week and a half later. She was then readmitted to the hospital for treatment of the pneumonia. The confusion has come back. They have done C\T scans, tested her blood levels, O2 levels, vitamin levels and everything keeps coming back normal, except my mother. My mom has been in and out of hospitals all her life, she has never had this kind of side effect from any medication ever. Can someone give me a clue as to what might be happening here?

Stefan and Damon to me are pretty much the same, but they a way older in the books. and whoever told you Damon doesn't play a big part in the books is WRONG. He is in all the books, but his bigest roles are in The Return books. I read the books then watched the show and I thought it was pretty good even though it dosent follow the book plot. I imagine Damon as being Ian Somerhalder in the books too so it shouldn't spoil your intrest :D

Should my leg still feel numb?

I had surgery on my leg right above my knee, to remove a part of the femur back in December. Some of the area around the scar still feels numb, like it doesn't hurt, but it really doesn't have any feeling, is that how it's supposed to be?

What Is Wrong With Me?

Over the past month or so I've been having physical pain. First it started by my right hip joint (the joint that connects my femur to my pelvic bone) hurting and I couldn't walk on it. Then the muscles around my right hip joint (such as upper thigh, lower back,, lower tummy, and side muscle) started aching. The paint felt like it was sore and filled with bruises. The pain stopped for about 2 days. Now the pain transfered to my left side but only the lower tummy and hip joint pain. Please I am concered and my parents don't believe in doctors. I have a specific Cd-r burning problem, can anyone help?

I recently asked a similar question about this same thing. I am simply asking it again cause the person that answered it, needed more info, so this is the question restated with all the info. I attempted to burn several Cd-R. The discs were 700 megabytes, or 80 minutes long. When I tried to play them, they wouldnt play past the second song, or the first few minutes. I'm pretty sure I didnt burn them in MP3 format, because everytime I put around 15-20 songs on the cd, and it was almost full. Also, if I did burn them in MP3, I wouldnt know how to change that. I acquired the music from itunes, just saying, if it matters. I burned them through windows media player, using the burn button. I've been told that any cds are right for burning. and that there are nothing wrong with the cds, but I'm not sure. Got a Cortisone shot in my knee & now I feel Terrible.?

I am a 23 year old amputee (lost my leg after getting hit by a car standing on the side of the road last year) & after a year of leg trouble I slipped off an icy curb and landed in a kneeling position on my bad leg/knee shattering my femur. After getting a rod in my femur & coming home, I realized a ton of pain was still in my knee. When I tried to turn in my sleep at night I would feel a sharp pop on my inner joint line & intense pain that follows to where I have to grab my knee & rotate it manually until the pain quells. This happens about 10x a day. I kept telling my doctor about the popping/clicking/pain & that my knee won't straighten or bend more than 35 degrees and he has blown it off as inflammation. I told him I thought my meniscus was torn and he told me there was no way that could have happened...??? Last I checked, landing so hard on you knee that your femur shatters & twisting it could have done it! I have so much metal in my knee that the MRI I had just looked like a glowing orb-you couldn't see anything. So he just gave me a shot of cortisone in the knee (OUCH!) & said I'll be fine. Today my knee hurts worse than ever, and I was immediately nauseous/lightheaded after that shot which has continued until today. He said if this doesn't work, he just wants to give me another shot? How does that make sense?! How do I get him to listen? What do I do?!?!?

Can bad weather make my dog's broken leg hurt?

My dog had surgery 2-3 weeks ago to fix her broken femur, so now she has a metal pin in it. Yesterday we had a massive outbreak of tornadoes and severe weather, and all day and even the night before she was acting really scared and submissive. Where on earth did you hear of many untreated cases because the doctors found nothing on x-ray? I work in pediatric oncology and have not witnessed this at all. Ewings is rare. The pain is intense, and would likely only be in ONE limb. If you're having pain in both femurs, it's so very unlikely to be Ewings.

My girlfriend has been very depressed lately and right now my only form of communication with her is through the internet. Why is part of my bottom lip numb after I got hit in the mouth?

I got hit in the mouth about 3 days ago and since then, I cant feel the left side of my bottom lip. My lip is not busted but there is a small cut on the inside further down on that side (facing my gums instead of on any visible part of my lip). I have had a busted lip before, and even cuts similar to this but I do not recall ever not being able to feel my lip. Im a 24 year old male. I have learned that with osteochondromas that you want to wait until you are at an age of skeletal growth completion. I have whats called an osteochondroma on the distal end of my left thigh (femur) located just above my knee, angled halfway between the anterior and medial (inside towards my right leg) side of my femur. It is the most common place for osteochondromas to occur. It is close enough to my knee to cause pain upon full flexion. Im serving overseas in afghanistan at the moment and I doubt the army will pay for this type of medical issue so Im curios to see on the civilian side from those who have undergone the procedure what I can expect in medical costs in the surgical removal or the osteochondroma. I understand that cutting through muscle as if it had been located mid way through my femur, would incur higher costs due to longer recovery and physical therapy. Braces coming off early.?

So I've had braces for two months now. I had them tightened for the first time yesterday. They also instructed me to wear rubberbands :( two triangles one on each side 24/7 when I sleep I have to wear one rubberband across my front teeth top and bottom sort of like a square. About 5-6 weeks pregnant with spotting and cramping?

Just found out about a week ago that I was pregnant via a home pregnancy test. Been having mild cramping, nothing major, similar to the cramps I would get prior to the start of my cycle. Earlier today after using the bathroom there was a small amount of brownish blood on the tissue. I've read this to be normal so I laid down and rested for a bit. Now the blood is a bit more, still only noticeable on the tissue but it is more red in color, which concerns me. This will be my second child, but the last one was 9 years ago and I can't recall having any of this. Should I go ahead and get checked out or wait till next week when I see the OB/GYN for the first time?

hmmm,,,well first off if you have difficulties(like running) karate wouldnt be the best thing. karate and other forms of sport that cause you to exert your muscles are not something you should jump right into especially after a femur injury. i recomend more subtle excercise to power the leg enough to be able to be exerted the way it would be in karate. first start with jogging, NOT sprinting. and gradually use your leg more and more... you really dont want to mess the femur up anymore please be safe. i hope this helps

Blacking out from Alcohol and Animalistic Behaviors?

When I experienced a blackout due to alcohol, there was this one space of time where I can't remember everything. The guy I was with was in the room with me; I don't know what made me feel the need to attack him, because I love him so much, but I did. I was laying on the bed, and when he came closer, (Bear in mind this is all foggy pieces put together of the part I can't clearly recall) I launched forward and bit him. This happened twice. It wasn't just a light bite either, I drew blood. But i also just wasn't thinking, it was like natural reflex to bite him, I could feel his flesh in between my teeth. It's animalistic, I always related to wolves since I was little. Is there any connection to that and my biting him. I just wish I could fill in the blanks better. sounds like they put a non smog engine in your truck, they make alot more power but wont pass e check. there are lots of different 454's but since its an 89 its injected so they might have put the right engine in but didn't hook up all the emision stuff. or it could have non emission friendly parts like a huge cam or something.

My butt is sore lol. How can I make it heal fast?

Drink LOTS of water. When your muscles are over-used, they give off a chemical and that causes pain. If you drink lots of water, it helps to flush that chemical out of your body sooner. Also, do some stretching for the areas that hurt. Just whatever feels good. Then, take an anti inflammatory med, like Advil (ibruprofen). Also, a hot shower will help relax sore and tired muscles. There's really no miracle cure, except time. But these things will help speed it up. Also, instead of the shower, you can soak in a tub of warm/hot water with Epsom salt in it. The salts help relax muscles.

I have been advised to do a meniscus repair surgery for my painful knee. Should I go for it or not?

I am a 39 year old man, 5 '- 7" tall and 78 kg weight. I used to experience a locking effect whenever I extended my right knee from a crossed legged( yoga) position since a year ago. After trying several moves it would feel ok and once ok it would function normally. Recently in a bid to loose my weight I began brisk walking and running. After a months session I developed stiffness at the back of my knee and pain at the junction between the femur and the tibia on the inner side of the right knee. An MRI was advised and the report suggested torn meniscus. I have been advised by my doctor to undergo surgery. Can anyone who have been through this advise me if I should go ahead? Can medication heal torn meniscus?Can I postpone the surgery if necessary? If yes? for how long and does surgery cure it 100%. Thanks.

What would cause a fever over a week after hip surgery?

So my friend had metal plates put into her upper femur as the result of a hip injury (or something like that). Anyway, she has developed a high fever a week and two days after the date of her surgery. She has been prescribed oxys for the pain, and she was recently instructed to take ibuprofen alongside her pain medication. The fever developed after taking the ibuprofen, and she last took the ibuprofen at 5 am eastern standard time. Would the ibuprofen have caused the onset of the fever, or could there be a more serious underlying condition?

Cat advice outdoor cat stuck indoor due to broken leg?

Ok i've got an indoor/Outdoor cat that has a broken femur. The vet said keep immobilized so i've limited her to a bedroom with a window. All day and night she sits on the window seal crying to get outside. My question is how to keep her calm indoors without the crying at the window seal? (I took my basic class two years ago, and was in a community emergency preparedness class this last week in which I was told I was wrong in wanting to apply traction so the ends of the bone didn't cut the femoral artery and the muscle before splinting. It would be interesting to know, do you have difficulty realising when other people are upset -- do you sometimes miss subtle cues, and then people get mad at you because they think you *ought* to have known?

Tiny Rash-Like Bumps ALL OVER My Face!!!?

About two days ago I woke up and my face was broken out. It was definitely NOT acne. It looks like a bunch of little bumps all over my face (i.e. chin, cheeks, forehead, behind my ears). They're dry and flaky and quite irritating. They're not itchy, but they kind of make my face feel tight (this is the best way I can describe it, so bare with me please). So my mom thinks I'm having an allergic reaction to something new in the house...which could be a possibility of things!! I just recently got a kitten last week. I have had cats before and nothing like this has happened. Although allergies can take effect at any time. But if that's the case, then why isn't the rest of my body broke out? Especially my hands? Then there's the new face cleanser that my sister bought (which that's what I think it is). She has really bad allergies so she bought a new L'OREAL skin cleanser (go 360 clean deep facial cleanser). I have only used it once. I used it that night and woke up with my face like this the next morning. But it's been two days and my face has only gotten worse!! Maybe it was something I ate. I do have a peanut allergy. But I can't recall anything that could have even possibly had peanuts in it. I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO!!! Could someone at least give me a home remedy so that I could make this go away?! It's killing my self-esteem and I'm already sort of depressed. I've had braces for about a month and half. Got them tightened once. I feel like my tooth is under lapping my front tooth. Okay, so I remember watching an episode of Rurouni Kenshin when I was little and it was pretty kick ***. Who started the trend of not running around the bases after a home run about 10-15 years ago?

About 10 to 15 years ago for a short period of time, some sluggers started hitting home runs and once the umpire declared it a homer they'd just go sit down instead of engaging in the pomp of running around the bases. It didn't last long because, as I vaguely recall, the MLB stepped in and told them they had to start running the bases to have their run count. I just can't find any mention of it on the internet, and I was wondering if anybody else remembers this and who started it?

MY PS2!!!!!!! i need help....my ps2 Slim wont stay green light for more then 1sec.?

Now to mention... my dad found this ps2 (slim) in an apartment so i tested it with my psp charger it stays red light but wont stay on green for more then 1 second. I am thinking maybe because it does not have enough power to keep it running?? now iv'e tryed this before with a regular version ps2 and all i had to do it take off the adapter on my psp charger n plug it in. but i do not recall the dcV on the back with i think means the actual power the power cord is putting out. now my psp charger is a 5v ac adapter and on the ps2 (slim) it says dc.V8.5. Is my problem that the psp charger is not giving enough power to the ps2(slim)? if anyone has the knowledge please comment. thanks

Can my estranged brother obtain a restraining order against me & my parents?

OK so over the past 7 years my family has been dealing with my nephew being abused as an infant. He had a broken collarbone, fractured ribs, a broken arm, dislocated elbow and a broken femur. He was not allowed to return to the parents home and subsequently lived with my parents for a few years....there are now 3 other babies. After all was said and done the court gave my ex-brother and his wife probation for the offenses. My parents as well as myself have been supportive of the children this entire time, having them all weekends, holidays, my Dad would take them and pick them up from school daily, etc. They moved to my parents street, yes, the same street and after they were sentenced they cut off all contact with me and my parents. My mother tried calling her son and he cursed her out up and down and said the if her and her husband and daughter keep driving by his house hes gonna get a restraining order? Is this even possible? None of us have contacted him in over a year but they live on the same street and we do need to drive by their house to get to the stop light to cross traffic. This situation is absolutely ridiculous. Oh and we live in New Mexico so any insight into this situation would be a great help. We miss the kids but we dont stop in front of their house, we simply wave to them if they happen to see us. So my thinking is how will they support trying to get a restraining order against us if they were the ones that moved right down the street....literally there are 5 houses separating us. SMH

Why does my leg do this?

For the past year or so I have been having this annoying problem with my right pelvic/femur joint. If I go to open my legs for any reason sometimes it will cause this sharp stinging pain at the joint. I don't know if I am pulling a muscle or not but it causes me to double over in pain. It hurts sooo bad. It doesn't do this every time though. Also if I am laying flat and doing leg lifts I can feel something in that joint popping out of place. I don't know if this is relevant or not. Any ideas what is wrong??? Please??

7.4 is the 454. 8.1 would be something like 496. I suspect what they mean by correct is it has to be either the optional engine for that year and model truck or an optional engine for the same model but newer. So this means if your truck originally came with the 5.7 350 engine you could swap in a 7.4 454 out of an 89 in or even an 90-95 since it was basically the same engine. The catch is you also have to swap over all the emissions related equipment and have it all be in working order. I believe at that point the truck then must meet the emissions requirements for the model year of the engine. Most likely your engine does not have any of the emissions equipment on it so that is the first reason its failing.

However, in your case, I would probably go with the forward flap if your knee is usually past the knee roll, even when your stirrups seem to be the right length. See if you can find a saddle to try that has a long flag and one that has a forward flap. I would go to a tack store with a good selection of saddles and sit on each to see which flap would be best. See which one you like better before you buy!

My right femur is very painful and I don't think it's a muscle problem because it doesn't feel like muscle ache, but when I put weight on it, it hurts lots at first then settles into a dull ache. I hate to sound like a hypochondriac but I'm worried it could be caused from a previous leg injury that may have weakened the bone??? I can still run on it but not for long and I tend to limp a bit and it is very hard to start running again if I stop for even a minute. Any idea what it is??

4 year old in two leg casts?

A 4 year old I know broke his femur yesterday. He is in a full leg cast on his right leg and a thigh length cast on his other leg. He will basically be immobile in these casts from at least 6 weeks. I as well as a bunch of other friends and family of him are wanting to get together some activites that he could do over the summer while he is in his cast. Irregular fetal heartbeat?

I'm 30 weeks pregnant with my second child. I went to my ob yesterday and when he went to listen to his heartbeat, it kept skipping beats consistently...he said it's probably nothing but he ordered an 'urgent' u/s. It's not for another two weeks so I'm going crazy worrying. And now I'm noticing today he hasn't moved around as much as usual...on a normal day he kicks, punches and rolls like crazy. He's still definetly moving but they aren't as strong as usual which is making me worry even more! Am I just being overly paranoid? Has anyone else had this happen? I am now 22 years old, but soon to be 23 in October 3. I just finished my college courses and I should soon obtain an associates degree in applied sciences (Automotive Technology). It's been hard for me to get a job, not because of my disability, but because of this economy. This is the next best thing for me and my Family. I've been trying to remember the name of this mermaid movie I watched when I was a kid and can't for the life of me. It was about this girl who took a cream from her parents office (they were scientists). The cream was supposed to make one a better swimmer. My dog has purple skin...why?

My dog Maxwell had surgery for his femur about two months ago. He had his pin removed last month and is doing great. He was in a couple weeks ago to get his stitches and staples out of his leg.
